As a First Aid Instructor (Licensed Training Provider) for the American Red Cross (ARC), I train and certify people in the United States using the official and current ARC training classes at a drastically reduced cost (or free). The material taught and the certification is the same as what the general public pays to take a class at the local Red Cross office. Rather than charging my students the normal fee, I choose to charge a very minimal fee to help cover what the ARC charges me to process the 2-year certification, and sometimes do not charge my students anything. I provide the training as part of my personal ministry (First Aid Missions of Hope), and I choose to do so with no personal monetary gain.
I also teach similar "generic" versions of First Aid/CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, Disaster Preparedness, Christian Outreach, Community Outreach, and Snakebite First Aid classes in Costa Rica, Mexico, Sri Lanka, and Kenya at absolutely no cost to the students. As of March 2023, I have taught First Aid/CPR to more than 2,000 students, providing each student with a free First Aid Kit and written First Aid instructions. Some of my students have been training others, sharing their new life-saving skills to build stronger communities. Some of my students have saved lives by using their new First Aid/CPR skills. I now have former students in Costa Rica and Kenya who have begun teaching these same skills to others, continuing this First Aid ministry.
